A voyage on the tall ship Young Endeavour is a voyage of a lifetime. You'll spend eleven days with 23 other young Aussies aged 16 - 23 years, learning not only how to sail the ship, but how to work together as a team. You also get to see spectacular parts of Australia that many others never get to see.
You don't need to be a sailor, most people have never sailed before. You do need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident aged 16 to 23, be able to swim 50 metres, be in good health, and weigh less that 120kg. Voyage fees apply.
On board you learn to sail a 44 metre tall ship on the open sea. You are involved in all aspects of sailing a square rigger from climbing the mast, setting the sails, navigating, keeping watch, taking the helm and helping in the galley trained by a professional Navy crew who are there to ensure the highest standards of safety and care.
A Young Endeavour voyage is not a leisurely cruise. It’s challenging and exhilarating. You meet and live with people from across Australia, from all walks of life, many of whom may become your closest friends.
With your sense of adventure and willingness to push your self to the limit, this is your chance to discover new reserves of character, commitment, confidence, teamwork and leadership.
It's free to submit an application. Voyage fees apply for successful applicants. For more information see Voyages and Fees.
